My take-away from this episode, particularly after the interview with the marine biologist, is that there seems to be a lot of unknowns and possibilities related to the organisms and the drift model. Like Jeff said, there is nothing that proves anything one way or another. The pieces don’t match what we would expect to see, but can how can we know with certainty what these pieces were doing during their drift? The only thing we can really be sure about is how unusual it is that ALL the debris lack consistency… but it doesn’t seem to be a smoking gun. I’m still eager to hear from an aviation expert who can clarify what is possible to manipulate from the electronics bay… this would allow us to make a determination on how many people would have to be involved and if the pilot would have had to be one of them. I feel like this would give us more insight into this mystery.

Well put, Maria. What we seem to have is a chain of inconsistent evidence that might have an innocent explanation, but we don't know what it is. It's only in the context of the whole evidentiary picture that patterns start to emerge. We'll definitely be returning to the issue of the electronics bay and the possibility of spoofing the BFO data.
