hey Jeff, there were more air force bases in India which seem like were in the vicinity of catching MH370, these AFS's where in Leh, Thiose and in Srinagar.Srinagar and Leh AFB;s are very active stations because of high tensions at the borders.... hence there is lesser chance of the plane passing through said so path. Please do correct me if i'm wrong. Love the good work keep it up!
You raise a good point, and there are similar outposts on the Chinese side, as well. But as I described in Season 1 Episode 13, it seems like those (at least on the Chinese side) were only used sporadically. Another thing to consider is that, depending on which side of the mountains a plane is flying, the Himalayas can present to wall to hide behind. Either way, a sophisticated threat actor like Russia would be able to know who had active radar where. That being said, if India or China steps and says, "We had radar coverage of the proposed northern path and didn't see anything," that would lay the matter to rest.
